Jude’s Story (from my blog)
Jude was the child God had for us from the beginning. We will probably never know completely why we weren’t able to spend this life with him, but we wait with eager anticipation for the day we will all be together again in Heaven.

Mom to Angel Baby

Lost January 11, 2010

Franklin, NC

My husband and I were married for just over two years when we decided it was time to start a family. I had just finished graduate school and had been ready for a baby for a while by that point.  We were pleasantly surprised when we got pregnant on our first try in November of 2009.  At first everything seemed okay, but I really wasn’t having any pregnancy symptoms, other than the need to pee all the time.  At my first prenatal appointment the midwife confirmed that I was indeed pregnant, but it was a “weak positive” on the test.   I was only about 4.5 to 5 weeks along at the time and was set up for an ultrasound about a week later.   [Read more...]

Mom to Silas Hunter

July 23, 2011 - August 1, 2011

Newark, Ohio

I started having Braxton Hicks at around 19 weeks. Nothing to be worried about, except once after we moved. I was having them for a good 45 minutes about every 4-5 minutes. I called my doctor and we stopped them. About 2 weeks later (maybe sooner, it’s all been a rush), I woke up about 6:15am with Braxton Hicks…the ones I had gone to bed with.  But then I started getting pains..”Oh crap, I’m constipated.” These pains, oh my goodness, they kept getting worse. I went downstairs and tried to walk around, drink water, and I laid down. Boyfriend was upstairs in bed still, it was a Saturday. About 11 or so, I woke him up because I couldn’t take it anymore. I called Labor & Delivery and they told me to get some Milk of Magnesia. My boyfriend ran to the store and got it, came back a half hour or so later, but it wasn’t working and the pain was getting worse. [Read more...]

July 27th, 2007-August 23rd, 2007

La Mesa, CA

I was ecstatic when I found out my husband and I were expecting our first baby. We had waited a long time to start a family, and were both excited and nervous at how our lives would change from being a couple, to adding a new little baby to the mix. At our 20 week ultrasound, we were told that we were having a boy. I was happy…I’ve always been a tomboy, and the prospect of pink, ruffly dresses, and barbies was a little intimidating! My pregnancy was pretty normal, I was fat and cranky most of the time, and towards the end, I was REALLY ready to meet our son….whose name was to be Logan Timothy.

Early Miscarriage, 2011

Land O Lakes, Florida

My name is Rachel and my husband, Joshua, and I have been married since March 2009. I am 27 and my husband is 30; he wanted to start having a family right away, stating that he was “getting old” This from a man who runs circles around my 4 year old nephew. I was finally ready to begin trying in October 2010. My cycles were infrequent and far between, so my doctor started me on Clomid to make me ovulate after a few months of no success. [Read more...]

Mom to Brinley Nicole

Stillborn at 37 weeks on August 18th, 2010

Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

From the beginning, I was scared of the little life inside of me. I didn’t know what I would do with a baby. I didn’t feel ready yet to be a mother. Of course, I loved little kids, but babies? Babies were a different kind of commitment. They completely rely on you for their comfort of living. It took me 8 months to be ready to have this new baby in my life. I was feeling ready to take care of her for the rest of my life. I looked forward to holding her, dressing her, feeding her, and playing with her. She was going to be a new chapter in my life that I was excited to start writing. [Read more...]

My soon to be husband and I were so happy when we found out we were expecting a little bundle of joy! Unexpected.. VERY but that didn’t make us any less excited to become parents. We were so excited when we finally found out that our little bean was a very healthy baby girl! Words cannot express how you feel when they type out those three little words on a monitor “It’s a GIRL!” We right away started to buy everything in pink and purples! Our whole world unexpectedly changed just a few weeks later. I had changed doctor in the middle of my pregnancy. [Read more...]

Miscarried on July 13th, 2011

Queensland, Australia

My husband and I got married in early October 2008. We always spoke about children, but it wasn’t until New Years Eve in 2010 we decided that 2011 was going to our year to create our own little family. So I went off the pill in early January 2011. After going off the pill I had been on for around 10 years, my cycles were all over the place. I then got reading books and reading about charting my temperature as well as using ovulation kits to work out when I was ovulating and when my period was about to arrive. [Read more...]

Mom to Jaylin Renay Thompson

born April 7, 2007 to April 9, 2007

Miami, Florida

My journey of loss started 4 years ago when at 22 weeks pregnant, I started bleeding and went to the ER. Upon doing an ultrasound, I was 3.4 cm dilated and in full labor. My daugher Jaylin Renay Thompson was born by emergency c-section on April 7, 2007 at 6:05 a.m. weighing 1lb and 1/2 an oz. She lived for 3 days and died peacefully in the NICU on April 9, 2007 at 10:27 a.m. I was later diagnosed with Cervical Incompetence as to the reason for my early delivery, and being that I had an emergency c section with a vertical incision, I would never be able to have a vaginal delivery again and would need a cerclage if and when I got pregnant again. Delivered stillborn on April 22, 2011

Lansdale, Pennsylvania

It all started out so effortless.  We got pregnant during the second month that we tried and my pregnancy was pretty easy.  I did not get sick and I did not have a lot of nausea.  I was more tired than I had been in my entire life, but aside from that, I was ok.  And super excited.  Right away, Gary suspected that we had a little girl on the way, but it took longer to convince me.  Ok, so it took an ultrasound to convince me!  But as much as I wanted a little superhero for my husband to play with (he loves comic books), once they said the words, “it’s a girl”, our lives changed.  Gary beamed from ear to ear and I think I almost immediately wondered if there was a minimum age for manis and pedis… [Read more...]

I got those beautiful pink lines. Dark, pink, and very big positive in February of 2011. I took a second 5 minutes later just to me sure. And 4 more through out the night. They were all positive. I was so afraid to tell my BF, but so so so excited. All of those doctors who told me I would never get pregnant were wrong and I was going to be mommy after all. The only thing I have ever truly wanted out of life was to be someone’s mommy, and I thought my dream was really going to come true. It wasn’t planned, or expected, but it was certainly welcomed. All seemed to be going ok. [Read more...]

Missed Miscarriage

May, 2011

Rancho Cordova, CA

My name is Kayla Bosley and my Husband Eric and I eric met in 2005. I don’t know what I would do without Eric and I feel like the luckiest girl in the world to be his wife. From the time we met we knew that we wanted to have children. We got married in June of 2009 and we started trying right away to have children. Getting pregnant was not as easy as we envisioned it to be; so we started trying every fertility monitor that was available. When I still wasn’t pregnant in June of 2010 I went to the doctor. She started by giving me routine blood tests and tested many different levels. Fortunately all of my blood work came back fine in regards to getting pregnant and we just had to be patient. Unfortunately, the doctor found that my liver enzymes were 3 times higher than normal. After many tests and switching doctors multiple times in September of 2010; a CT scan revealed a tumor in my pancreas. The tumor was removed September 13, 2010 with the Whipple Procedure. The pathology report showed that my tumor was called a Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumor…Cancer!!!
